STARDUST HILLS CAT EPIDEMIC Feb 12, 2026, We have a cat epidemic, and the board and I are working on a plan to get it under control. WE NEED YOUR HELP! The first thing we need to do is get a handle on the problem. This is where you come in: We need an accurate count of how many strays (now called community cats or CC for short) that people in the community are caring for; this is so we can come up with a plan. The goal is to get Putnam County Humane society to come and TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return) many cats in the course of a couple of weeks. The state gives them vouchers to pay for this. As the weather warms up cats get frisky and kittens are the result we need to get in front of this problem! This week please call Rescued Treasures at 765-653-7174, the shop right next to the Humane Society. They will take your information so we can come up with the plan. Give them your name, phone number, address, and number of cats you’re caring for. If they’ve already been thru the TNR program, one of their ear tips will be missing, usually the left.
